At present, this group hold meetings every other month. We provide a space for members to connect with one another and share their experiences in End of Life Care. Each month, a couple of members share ‘snapshots’ from their work, and we offer space for members to bring any difficulties or curiosities they would like to explore with others. Occasionally we arrange visits to hospices in the region. If you would like to join our meetings, please contact Bryony for details.
Update from last meeting: In January, the Southern Regional Chaplains group met at St Michael’s Hospice in Basingstoke, kindly hosted by Dominic Thornton. We spent time together in prayer and reflection, and Bryony led an Expressive Painting session which explored themes of ‘home and belonging.’ Dominic led everyone on a tour of the hospice, and together we walked the labyrinth in the hospice grounds, before enjoying a longer stomp around the site. It was wonderful to have some time and space to share more deeply about our experiences in different settings. Warm thanks to Dominic and St Michael’s Hospice for making this possible – especially for the homemade lemon shortbread!
